A Boston resident since 1992, Gem Mutlu was born in Istanbul, Turkey, where he received a bilingual education. Later he went on to earn a degree in Business Administration at Bosphorus University. While in college, Gem taught himself Spanish and simultaneously obtained a state-issued license as an interpreter and tour manager. After graduating, he worked in tourism leading countless tours in Turkey before coming to Boston to study contemporary music at Berklee College of Music. Consequently, he performed as a singer and percussionist for over a decade as part of the core ensemble of the Boston-based Dunya Organization, touring and recording with the same.
 

Today, in addition to his deep passion for music, Gem enjoys a successful career in real estate, one that chose him in 1999. Since then he has helped hundreds of clients achieve their home and life goals with a unique, holistic approach to client care. In 2019, industry leaders REAL Trends and Tom Ferry Inc. recognized Gem among the top 1% of real estate professionals in the United States. He specializes in residential sales, global portfolio management and quality property investments. He is a member of the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing, GBAR, MAR and NAR. Gem is currently serving on the advisory board of DunyaInc.Org, the event organizing committee of HomeStart.Org and the board of trustees of the Ellis Memorial School. He is fluent in Spanish and Turkish, with conversational skills in Portuguese and Italian. He loves independent cinema, extra-dirty martinis, incessant travel and cat videos.”
